Once again I am in awe and wonder at how effortlessly my son Liam is able to pull off harmonies, above and below the melody line. As I mentioned before, our voices are similar yet different enough to be different from each other, if you know what I mean! They blend so well.
Today we worked on the song I Will Love You More. Written by Jim Schaming, Christie Simmons and I, we had just the bare bones: acoustic guitars and lead vocal. Liam added the choir! Each chorus soared into the stratosphere leaving such a great feeling. I added mandolin, on one take, and harmonica, and hey presto! an almost finished song. I'm expecting to get my friend Shawn Kingston in on guitar and of course, Andrzrej and Wayne on drums and bass respectively. It sounds great now! Who knows what it will be like when it's finished.
